Solution and Approach: Collaborative Problem-Solving and Custom Product Development
As a world leader in the mobile deployment of cutting-edge technology, mp3car immediately grasped the situation, and was able to hit the ground running. They partnered with CLS – working quickly to understand the full spectrum of needs and constraints for the project, and then functioning much like a Research/Development arm of the client as the two companies moved together toward implementation. Mp3car embraces a consultative and collaborative problem-solving approach, working closely with each customer to ensure solution suitability, scalability and long-term success. With CLS, they utilized six solution phases: Use Case Identification, Design, Prototype, Manufacture, Deploy, and Support.

Results: Deployment and Second-Generation Production
Today, mp3car’s DTE is a standard component in the CLS lineup for the Halios project, providing the user interface hardware for real-time, bidirectional connectivity (via the Iridium satellite network) for fishing fleets operating in the Pacific and North Atlantic oceans. With this technology, users aboard at-sea vessels are able to comply with NOAA/NMFS requirements in generating and responding to fleet tracking and catch data information.
