wow lol i think i need glasses![]()
I took a ton of pictures using my old digital camera. Blurry isn't even the right word that the crappy pictures that came out. They looked great on the little LCD screen, but when I uploaded hem they looked like complete crap. Time for a new camera and some pics from me will be up... for now, enjoy some crap pictures...
I assure you that it looks just as good on the xenarc in the car as it does on a computer screen sitting on your desk... my camera just sucks. The funcionality is great as well. I think my phone could take better pictures.
BTW, the resolution is 800 x 480... the only problem is that I have amp to autorun upon start up and when it does I can only see the top right portion of things, and then when I press the top button it fixes itself... I don't think this is a problem with AMP, I think it is a problem with the displayconfigX, but I am not sure.

Car broken into... progress is basically zip...
looks good though from what i can tell... maybe take some pics of it running at 800x600 on the same screen, just to see how distorted it looks... that is, when you get you camera fixed.

thanks bt can u support Arbic Unicode (UTF-8) ?
I like the 8.4" the best. I've had the 7" and the 8" and the 8.4" looks the best to me. Yes it runs 800x600 native...that was one of the big reasons I got it. I would go with the biggest screen you are able to fit in your car. Not only will it be easier to see, but it also has the wow factor when other people see it; 8.4" was the biggest I could go.
Thanks Again
lol no way, sorry. I have zero interest in doing multi-lingual stuffOriginally Posted by desperado.mac

My wife's Arabic MP3s (belly dancer) that have Arabic characters in the titles show up just fine (same with a couple of Japanesse characters and various other UTF8 charaters from other languages) in your lists.
NSString and NSTextField have that all built in. What you need to do is move your hard coded text out using Localized Strings. You build the English version of the file and then someone that wants another language can send you that version of the localized file for you to include.
Take a look at the package contents for Calculator for an example. In each of the Language folders you have a Localizable.strings file. See the docs, specifically the "Strings Files" as it shows you the Cocoa code to read them.
Like anything else, if you don't do it from the ground up, it's painful to go back and do later

EDIT: Fixed the URL so it goes to developer.apple.com instead of the local copy of the docs. Firefox didn't want to follow the local link for me![]()
just noticed something about AMP when i was driving home from work today. When you are listening to something in "shuffle" mode and you press back, it dosnt start the song over, or go to the song that it played before, it just picks another random song. If you use iTunes, you will see that it knows what it had played before and plays that on back twice. Understand?
Cant code cause I dont know how, but give me the paint bucket and my eraser and have at you!
That happens because he picks a random song every time the song changes. I have actually heard the same song 4 times in a row. I have brought this up to him (and will fix it in my personal version if that is really how he wants it to workOriginally Posted by pepsibobby
), but since he isn't tracking the info some significant work will need to be done to "fix" it.
