no man sry about that im leaving tomorrow for vacation so i wont be able to work on it for at least another week, but before I leave I do have one thing to contribute.
Anyone can submit their version of AMP to my site now to show you or w/e they need to do...
Upload Script >>> http://www.jakobmetzger.com/misc/AMP/upload/
Uploaded Folder>> http://www.jakobmetzger.com/misc/AMP/upload/AMPUpload/
Just trying to further the development of this project. If anyone wants to show Aychamo something they can use my site for hosting.
Oh, just to try and keep it organized here is how I would like you guys to name your files
lets say its July 11th and your name is "iamgnat" then just put as the file name "iamgnat711AMP.zip" with "(source)" at the end if its the source. I think this will help people browsing the folder to get the the latest release or browse the older ones as they please.
I dont really care if you do it that way but if a few people start really using it then the files will stack up fast and be hard to identify. Just trying to solve a future problem.
This is great Jakob
may I suggest a format of
YYYYMMDD_sitename_filename
so using above example
20060713_iamgnat_somesourcefilename
this will list filenames in date order and make it easier to get the latest (date will be first)

Ok so here are your pictures of AMP on a 7" Touchscreen with a native resolution of 800x480 Running at 800x600. My mac does not run 800x480 so I do not have photos for comparison, but these photos demonstrate that AMP looks great at 800x600
The Screen does not look warped or crappy what so ever. Hope this helps to get the program to run native at 800x600.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks Aychamo

Yeah, I noticed that you said that the transitions are an option... yeah personal preference, but thank you...even though now I am kind of getting used to the slides... but I am sure someone out there will want them off as well.
The only problem with using the extra 120 pixels at the top is that you would still be sitorting the image. Because the "real" resolution on a xenarc is 800 x 480 and then the top is not used and it smashes the images down. Do do this without distortion the images used would have to be redone to fit correctly. (Is that right? its really late and I may not be thinking correctly.)
You could, instead of showing album art in the bottom right corner (which I do like, but sometime I guess you have to compromise somewhere) have three buttons, and keep them static, like the clock. I don't know, just a suggestion...
My thought is to use a 800x600 window and on the 800x480 screens it would be positioned in such a manner that the "extras" in that 120 area just aren't visible. This way there is no distortion at all. The catch is that you can not put items in this area that offer functionality that the 480 view can not get to in some other manner.Originally Posted by jdisenberg

Actually it's not that bad. Bluephone elite is scriptable to a certain extent. we had figured out a couple parts of it. i can't remember for sure which ones but i think there were only two functions that would weren't able to script or activate remotely.Originally Posted by iamgnat
I was refering to the interaction with the Phone itself. The AddressBook Framework doesn't appear to bubble up the ability to dial the phone so you have to connect to it as a serial modem and dial it with at commands. The basic commands to actually dial the phone *should* be standard across the board, but I wouldn't want to sing up to support every phone in the worldOriginally Posted by CArringt
SMS on the other hand is more likely than not different between MFGs and possibly different between phones. That would be really painful.
Jirka implemented this in his frontend specific to the Sony Erikson phones. From helping him find the command set, the dial commands were compatible with my Moto and Nokia but the SMS commands were drastically different between the three. And I know Nokia uses a different set between their Series 60 phones and the rest of their phones.
