hmm with regards to what snoe worked on here
    AMP v1.0 Worklog
could you add a volume thing to that? so if you turn the knob it will adjust the volume, and when you push and turn it will change the song. keep the push as play/pause though , I think this will be the most useful for people (at least for me...but its late and i cant think so i duno lol).

Even though you don't own one, you can add hotkeys that preform certain things. Then anyone could map the power mate to use those specific keys.

Oh, please don't do that. Text generally doesn't look crisp when the screen is not at it's native resolution. In addition, pushing a 1.33 aspect ratio resolution to a 1.66 aspect ratio screen will make everything look incorrect. It's basically the same as stretching out 4:3 TV programs just to use every pixel of a 16:9 TV. Sure you are utilizing all of your screen real estate, but everything appears short and fat.

Please, please, please don't do this.

i would agree. I think it is better if you have two or more options for different resolutions, it will be worth it in the end.

To be completely honest, it depends on what screen I end up purchasing. I like the idea of the 8" 800x600 with a larger screen, but I originallyl wanted the 7" 800x480. I'm going home in a month and I will have access to my vehicle, and I'm going to measure to see what fits.

To be honest, I think with AMP, the best thing may be to get a list of supported hardware (ie, radioSHARK, a specific one of those knobs, resolutions, remotes), and make it known that those specifcally work, and your mileage may vary with other things.

I've been good in not opening my compiler these past few days (not until Wednesday will I touch it!) .. But I've been outlining a few plugins, and a plugin architecture. I've also cleaned up the code a lot, and it's a whole heck of a lot more managable now. I've also updated the plugin support for distributued notifications.

    Ok I gotta get going.
