I live in colorado and have been snowed in my house for the last two days so with that and the combination of the AMP1.X code release I have created a simple phidget plugin for anyone who is interested. The plugin can controll 4 digital outputs that can be wired to relays and it also desplays the current song and artist on an lcd. I don't have any phidgets to test this so if anyone does plese let me know. Also it does need a bit of help in the area of asthetics so feel free to add any input there. If needed I can program this to controll up to 8 digital outputs and it might even be able to display driving directions or other helpfull driving info if we ever get a good navigation or ODBII program going.

Ya I'm hoping a similar interface is used for amp 2.0 so this can be compatable with that as well. Its mainly a standalone app that recieves song info from amp so if worse comes to worse it can be used with amp 2.0 as a relay controll without lcd support
I do not have phidgets but a while ago it was in the wishlist and I started to play around with the API. The relays can controll almost anything check the hardware development section for tons of ideas, they can controll windows, locks, open the trunk, turn on/off headlights at specific times, open/close convertables. Just wire it into the circuit like any other switch any you're good to go.

I went and hooked up some relays to my phidgets controller
and got the program to turn on the relay, but it won't turn it off, I emailed
my 'bug report' but I AM EXCITED!!!

I fixed it so now the seccond time the button is pressed it switches the relay off. The new version is uploaded to the same link. That should work for now. What other improvements/features are people looking for? and has anyone tried the lcd yet?
