XM in Amp?
So, I downloaded AMP :) (ha!)
I got it to compile. Haven't opened XCode in a really, really long time.
Surprisingly most everything worked. Except Album Art. Also a lot of the routines I called are depreciated or whatever. I'll have to look into that too.
I have a sweet car to put all this in now. I just have to get AMP up to date. I'm going to streamline the hell out of it too. Ie, the whole clunky Google Earth thing I tried to put in, I'm going to rip that all out. With the failure of RouteBuddy, there just doesn't seem to be a good OS X solution.
I'm curious how I can get the XM radio plugin? Is all the hardware still available for purchase? (although I wonder why I care - my vehicle already has XM!)
Lemmee see about it. AmpXM has the ties in it for the XM java controller but I think Eugene may have actually ported the java code to Obj-C and never updated the repository with it. It may actually already be in the AmpXM code (what you were calling Kindling)
P.S. two good solutions for nav exist. First, run nav in Windows and switch using Spaces.
Second, do what NAS Air has done and fade the window to transparent to show the nav running underneath with a button to recall the FE when you click it.
Eugene tells me that the XM bit are in the repository already and that they work. Go here: http://code.google.com/p/amptvx/downloads/list
It doesn't work with the mp3car interface box. You need an XM Direct unit, cable and USB-serial device like a Kensington.
If you need help with it, let me know.
