    Are you sure the phone version would work? I have a Dell streak 7 from T mobile. It's not technically a phone, I thought it would fall under the tablets? Let me know your thoughts and if the phone one will work I will download it asap!

    Yeah, its not necessarily a phone version, I use that term because most phones have froyo installed on them, early tablets like the SGT 7", dell streak, etc use a later version of android or 2.2 with some features removed because of the lack of phone support, but really any version of android 2.2 or later can use the phone version. The Tablet version is specialized to make use of some of the new features and abilities of the 3.0 software. That is the only difference. You could run the 2.2 version on 3.0 devices just fine as well. And hope you enjoy the software, i will be getting back to work on it here shortly and releasing a final version, ive just been busy with work and lady friend (which takes priority over programming since its just a hobby)

    So had a problem with my computer and seems there is something wrong with eclipse and it wont compile right, so i need to figure that out, however I leave for survival school next wednesday and need to get ready for that. Ill be without technology and in the woods for 3 weeks so wont be able to get anything more done until i get back....however, again, Im taking a vacation and going to VEGAS when i get back, so it wont be until the later part of october that i will be able to get some work done, and then i will be deploying in january. So this might be the final release for awhile. It is mostly stable as far as I can tell. And the last nail to push this back more, my dog got angry at me when i shut the door and was in the other room (she was a rescue and has separation problems) and she decided to chew on my tablet which i now have to send to samsung to get the screen fixed.

    @Cornelius
    I got the crash reports and they are on the list to look at when i get back to developing this, not sure what is causing this, try plugging into the holder before having the app open, it might be something with switching the mode or something, but the crash reports are in my data so they will get looked at.

    So before I leave for training, I got some time and finished the first release and officially released it on the android market. I am charging $1.99 because I put a ton of time into this. There will be more updates and releases still, but this should hold everyone over for awhile. I just released the phone version because my tablet is broken and I cant test it and make sure it still works properly so that one will have to wait until I can get a new tablet (sucks to have to buy a new one).

    So without further delay here are the links for the app and the launcher on the market. And please give some reviews so that it can get more popular

    AndCar App
    AndCar Launcher

    Thank You to all who purchase, it is only 2 dollars but hopefully there will be enough purchases to help offset the time I have and will spend

    Can I buy this version to use on my streak 7 running 2.2.2? I have the older version and it is asking me to buy the app and still has that issue about playing music after closing. I have to go back into the app and stop the music and re-exit th app

    Yes you should be fine with any version of android 2.2 and above, I checked the supported devices and Dell Streak 7 is on the list.
