Its getting close for testing, Im not very good at photoshop (as I dont have any experience or real talent for that) but Im still working on developing the graphics for the interface, its slow moving because its takes me lots of time and this is a side project for me and Im in the military so dont have tons of time.

As for the programming side it is mostly done, no video or gesture control yet (for this release there wont be) but as soon as I get this stable and working on majority of devices Ill implement those and it will get those soon.

The current skin is more night oriented and need to make a day one as well cause its a little dark for day, so if someone wants to help with that I would appreciate that and I can give you the info needed to make the graphics

Well, if you can fill me up with details on how to do it, maybe I can help with the Photoshop stuff. I'm not very good either, but if you can send me the psds you have and what you need it to be, I can start something and you'll see if we can go further.

Ok so this is for anyone who wants to contribute graphics to the project to make it get finished quicker. Attached is two files, one is a simple paint picture showing the percentages that each item in the layout takes, the second is a psd with the current layout and what is completed, You are free to make what ever you want for layouts as long as it sticks to those sizes, and just for reference the most common phone resolution is 800x480 and the most common tablet resolution is 1280x800 so if you make a skin please stick to one of those, I appreciate the help and if its used in the final release the contributor will get it for free from the market (which includes all updates as well)

The four smaller squares are nested inside the center section of the main view and are a frame layout.

Dont worry about saving individual files for each graphic if you send me the psd and just stick to having the layers set up like I have in the attached PSD then I can save the files as needed to make it work

Really not digging the small buttons along the bottom. No volume buttons for me, butI understand some might need it. FOR ME, the less buttons, the better. No stop button also, I think play/pause should be enough?

You have to implement gestures, man. You can't design something if you need "page" buttons, it's a big waste of space, IMHO, and it will compromise your design. Touch (tap) the screen for pause/play; one finger swipe to page; up and down in the corners to change volume (just like the Act1 video player does). I know CF uses page buttons, but that's just because they're lazy with gestures. I've been asking them for gesture support for ages, and nothing. Page buttons make the interface look like an ATM machine...

Album art display is a must too. I think art display in the front page would work better, moving the buttons to the side and using the space wasted by the two page buttons. I also would like to see tiles instead of icons, Windows 8 style; live tiles would be even better. Some Android applications that I like and I want to put them on the main menu are really cheesy/tacky, some are horrible. Standard tiles for mail/video/calls, etc. would be better, just like when you add a caller and a picture is showing there? Only put that picture around some more colorful surroundings.

Played lots of albums, lauched many applications, played with settings NO CRASHES at all. Weather info is not showing for me. Good work!

No if you have the default carHome app you should be able to use that to launch it. If not install this as well its the launcher:

@RipplingHurst- Gestures are on the way, they are a little more complex when I started them so they are gonna be in there just are taking longer. As for album art if you go to the now playing page (hit the now playing at the top and a page slides down it has album art). Im open to ideas for the layout as well so if you want to mock something up and send it to me ill consider it. Not entirely sure what you mean by tiles but ill look into windows 8 and see if i can figure out. And for teh weather you have to go into settings and set your zip location.

Im also working on an alternate layout to test it out that will be similar to Elite wings and meego when I first started working on project didnt know how to tackle something like that but now i do and I prefer that layout more so working on that some along with gestures and video
