    galaxy tablet in a lexus

    ight guys, i know i'm new here... but i've been floating around this site for about a year now.... just never got around signing up..

    i run my own custom shop... so i thought i would share a build i did for a customer...

    this is a 7" galaxy tablet in a lexus is300 ...

    here's the final product...

    it shows in the video.. but i just used a regular triangular hinge on the right side (or 2 of them, one on top, one on bottom) and a magnet on the left to lock it in place

    very cool man, i'm working a tablet build for my truck as well. trying to figure out how to build a dock and sliding faceplate for mine right now since i've never really fiberglassed or fabricated anything like that. probably just going to use some molding putty to get the shape for the fiberglass, also looking for a mini amp to stuff in the dash behind it, picked up a cheap chinese one but its pretty noisy. might end up going with a lanzar or a alpine power pack if i can figure out how to hardwire it.

    if you want to try to fiberglass a dock for it... just shoot me a pm... kinda long to write on here... but i can walk you through it... just takes a lil practice

    i will also be doing a toshiba thrive install in my show truck soon, with a few suprises... so as soon as i get into that, i'll post it... keep an eye out for it guys
