I see you're using the galaxy mount as I am. Are you happy with it mounted that low? I chose to just replace my headunit altogether since I never used it anyways.
Hey guys..just wanted to show how i got my Galaxy Tab mounted in my Civic..i like how it is mounted so from various setups i have tried..looking for other ideas from civic owners that maybe replaced head unit with galaxy tab or other tablets..i would like to integrate the Tab with my whole audio system by replacing stock speakers, amp, sub, maybe double Din head unit or keep stock..kinda of a project i wanna look in to..![]()

yeah its a little lower than i wanted but very useful being that low than i figured it would be..i am still iffy about replacing my head unit with the tab..i thought about replacing my head unit with tab only if it would be a clean install(which im not good at modding my dash and making it look as good as stock),and possibly installing and aftermarket radio where the tab is now..that way i can have the convenience of a radio for the everyday in and out of the car drives throughout the day along with the coolness the Tab brings that a radio doesnt.
I hear you on the fabbing. I live in an apartment so I do not have the luxury of a garage and therefore limited space, tools and supplies for fabbing/modding. Plus I'm no professional fabber so i just rig it...imma professional rigger
I say go for it. Just think about what you want out of your tab and that may help you decide on how you want to mount it and whether to keep your headunit or use other integrations (bluetooth, amp, etc). Maybe think of a solution that requires as least modding of your factory stuff so you can revert if your build does not turn out as desired. The cool thing is you learn from your modding and if not perfect you know what to do different next time. Its really a learning process from what I have experienced.

You can take a look at how I used that Galaxy mount that you are using. It's not as extravagant as other tab mounts but it works like I want it. Plus I can revert or upgrade to 10" tab if I wanted ...(doubt I ever will).

I'm thinking I may need to buy this OEM cradle for the Tab and see if I can modify it to use with my ProCips mount...

I'm currently planning a tablet install on my 06 Civic Ex sedan as well. But I am planning to replace the head unit. I'm trying to decide between the Galaxy or the Ipad2.
Cool. I replaced my headunit also. I think either tablet is just as good. Probably a matter of whether you are an apple fan and pay for everything or android fan and sky's the limit![]()
