Otg cable + hub usb + memory pen = drain teblet battery

I recently upgraded my system and i installed a MediaPad 7 "
and use the USB port via otg cable to connect a USB hub
memory pen and keyboard;

the problem is that after stand by the hub is powered from tablet and it
drain his battery...
any solution?

Power the hub off the car(switched with ignition perhaps) and cut the power wire in the USB cable?

all ok it worked perfectly ;-)

but now i have a strange problem
usb keyboard worked great with Android 3.2, after upgrading to ICS no longer works :-(
solutions?
