Double Din Friendly Tablet

I think that after Amazon' app store, access tonthe android market will prove to be less and less important - they had free angry birds some time ago on offer. Most "big" apps will be there, if they're not already.

Btw just bought a sub $200.00 coby kyros 7024 for testing. I was really torn about it and the nook color, but the nook color falls into the category "sad to leave in the car at all times" you talked about...:-)

I'd have gone with one of the HeroTab m10 clones, or something in 7", with a capacitive touch screen over the Coby, but that's just me.... same Cortex A8, but capacitive, and depending on the clone, has a front camera and a beautiful IPS/Capacitive touch screen. But you got HDMI out...

Actually I ended up returning the Coby 7024, didn't like the screen at all. I got a used nook color instead for the same money, then I also heard about a $199.00 AT&T GTab and couldn't pass up, so I have both to play with.

I have not. Interesting stuff, actually I think the concept is genius! The execution, I'm not sure about that, but it's the first one.

Probably the amp is crap, not sure even if the screen is capacitive, not sure what they mean by iPod control (usb port only?), interesting bit about the cd/dvd player, and a big screen to boot.

Go find a wifi unit from Alpine or Pioneer and tell me how much it would cost...

I hope will see a lot more like this in the future (plus, Pioneer and Alpine units running android too, only too feature limited versions, for "safety").

I know this thread hasn't been posted in for a few months but this company now has an updated version running Android 2.3 and the price is actually pretty good. I haven't tried this unit yet but I am considering it.

Gotta love the broken grammar on that site...lol. This is the same concept of that Car/Droid system that bybyte has been selling for quite some time, although the Erisin one is cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't buy into this as these things are rockin' some old tech at a price that needs to come down. In addition I have a ICS tablet (Andorid 4.0) and just couldn't deal with going backwards in terms of UI when I jump in my car.
