Ahhh, Sorry. I just bring it in for the night. That's why it's not permanently mounted.
This is the part I'm confused about... So while the car is off it is in sleep/deep sleep running off the tablets battery? So what happens if you are on vacation for 2 weeks and the tablet battery dies? In my case the drive to work, lets say is very short, so the amount of time to charge is very limited vs the time, most of the day and all night, where the tablet would be sleeping off its battery...

Ah OK, makes sense. I am looking to mount my tablet in a bezel so it wont be easily removed... That's why I'm trying to figure out the best method to deal with the power. It seems at this point the options are creating a circuit and soldering it across the power button, which requires opening the tablet, or using a development board that allows for boot on power. I guess I could also use Android x86 but then I have to buy an expensive screen since I hate resistance touchscreens.
DOes anyone make a pre-made bezel/fascia kit to fit any 7" tablets into a double din sot? I dont need to remove it I'm just looking for a cheap way to get android in my car!
