OK, I got a problem, when I got the module I updated the firmware, set up the screen resolution, connected via bluetooth to the phone and that was it back into the box. Today I got a monitor and wanted to at least test everything out, well I couldn't get the module and the phone to pair via bluetooth (which I had done before), so I looked at the terminal on the cDev Bootloader and all I see over and over is

    Switcher not detected
    Released By >> customGadz
    Firmware MODE >> Resistive 4W
    Firmware VERSION >> v1.2.5b
    OS MODE >> Android

And the red lights are flashing.

I tried following the manual to do the bluetooth pairing again and my phone was not able to find the module ( I also tried my tablet and another phone), no luck.

I decided to do the firmware process again and try to start from scratch but no luck.

Also customGadz , how can I order the Type SC Adapter for the element display? I have not had any luck getting a response going through the http://www.customgadz.com/store/contact-form.php since I purchase the module back in November....

Your SC connector works with this LCd right: http://www.mp3car.com/lcd-display/14...6-s-h-117.html ? I believe that is called the "element lcd"?

Hi, I think i already notified you of this issue. In case anyone else has this issue. Don't operate the X2Module when powered via a USB port from a PC/Laptop. Use the USB from a wall outlet or USB power from a car charger. Pc/Laptop is only used for setting up the device and not full operation. It might work in some cases though.

Yes that is correct. We have tested this monitor and it is very good for this application.

We would recommend updating it anyway to the latest version to familiarize yourself with the process.

P.S. Sorry for the delayed reply.. vbulletin has had some issues for a while and logging on to mp3car has been a hit and a miss as all you guys know. Looks like its fixed now though

I know how you feel. On the contrary though I eventually got it to work! Yay!
youtube recording of my test demo(ignore the audio, I don't know what I'm saying)

I'll see if I can provide a more dummy proof guide. I recently received the module from CustomGadz and began an installation to interface with my screen. It is far from finished though since my project is a bit more complicated. I'll put up some pictures and some more details later after work.

A few notes from what I learned. Use the instructions provided in the PDF from their website. Follow it in ORDER. I'll provide more info later when I get home from work.

True, I wrote this before I went to customgadz.com and wrote to you there, but the post showed up at some point today.

    Hi,
Looks like your cable is a 4-wire type but has been split into 8-pins.. Do you require the "switcher" for this setup?
