We don't have a box for your specific vehicle at the moment. Can you give us a few weeks to do some experements?

In regards to the touchscreen, you simply need to measure the screen area of your display and we should find a match to suit your car. Most common display sizes are 6.5, 7 and 8".
Give us the length and width of your screen area and I can tell you if we have it. And you are right, you wont need the USB part.

The new module has a mini touchscreen adapter that can be connected to the touchscreen. The mini adapter will be wired behind your dash (just power and GND). Then there is a extension cable harness that connects the adapter to the main mimicsX2 module. This means you can externally mount it in case you cant find any room behind the dash. Since the extension cable carries power and all the comms, you wont need to connect any wires to the main module, simply plug the harness from the mini adapter to it. This way if you change your vehicle, you can simply unplug the main module without having to open your dash again!!

I have a 2010 VW Jetta with a RCD-510 headunit: non-Nav headunit with 7" touchscreen. Will this product support the video input for that head unit? Or will I need another video input adapter such as this one: http://gsmserver.com/shop/video_inte...th_rcd_510.php ?

We currently have the standard video interface for your vehicle, but haven't got the HD solution yet. We do have the RNS850 HD kit though.. Our HD upgrade kit needs some reprogramming to suit you vehicle and we will let you know if its possible to support shortly.

Ok thank you for your response. How much is the video interface kit? Also USA spec rcd-510 units do not have the video input wiring harness socket at the back because there was no option for a reverse camera in the us. Will your video interface kit still work?

To be completely honest.... Since your RCD-510 monitor has a 400x240 resolution on a 6.5" display, It would probably be much cheaper if you get those aftermarket OEM headunits that fit straight into your dash and connect to all your factory harnesses. I have seen some that are 7" and some that are even 8"! The good ones have a 800x480 resolution which is a step up from what you currently have. Just a thought.

Then if you still want, you can then go for the headunit integration mimicsX2 option, video in this case would have to be though a HDMI to A/V. We do carry some good quality ones that are really small, and are around $45. The final video quality will depend on the headunit though

Or you could do the RCD-510 to RNS-510 swap, but that's a pain.. Need to get hold of a VAG-COM.

Thanks for the info. I think I will probably try to hack the screen I have already to get video input, even if the resolution is low, and I may try the input adapter box that I posted a link to.

Otherwise, I really wanted to keep things looking stock, so I may try to fit a higher-res touchscreen in the stock bezel and still get the stock head unit to run on it somehow, as well as android mirroring and backup cam.

The RNS-510 is super expensive, so at that point I would probably just go for an aftermarket head unit.

Also, my wife's car is a 2010 Mazda CX-9 with factory nav and backup cam. Do you guys have a product that will work on that car?

EDIT: It looks like my RCD-510 screen has a pretty decent resolution. I think I read that the RCD-510 may have come in a higher resolution version and a lower resolution version. Either way, I'm pretty happy with the resolution and I'm going to try my hardest to make the RCD-510 work.
