So the video output from the phone to the X2 will be broadcasted via Bluetooth (no physical wires), but the audio will have to be broadcasted via the phone's HDMI-out with a converter or via the phone's headphone output to an adapter if I planned on using my stereo's/carputer's RCA audio inputs for sound.... is this all completely correct?
Video and audio is via a cable, and the phone control is over bluetooth...
You might need a seperate audio switch depending on how you want your sound setup.

Thanks so much.... and sorry for so many questions. Just trying to figure this out so I can decide on what to use for a main unit in my dash to tie the X2 Module into.

Any chance in a link to an audio switch so I can get an idea of what I need? I still don't understand how these switches work. Say my DVD receiver or my G4 carputer and a set of RCA cables in the back- one RCA connector for video input, and the other two for the left and right audio input. Are you saying that the X2 Module with the switch as well as a separate audio switch would allow my unit to automatically switch to the RCA video and audio inputs in the back?

If so, would this simply cancel all other video AND audio from the carputer or DVD receiver until the Android phone is unpaired from the X2?

You've been providing some excellent assistance with answering all of this... I can thank you enough. Again, I just need to understand and work out the logistics of this module so I can start buying

Let me see if I can answer this correctly...

You'll need the MimicsX2 with switcher, and if your phone has HDMI-out on it you will need the HDMI cable for the phone and then an HDMI-to-RCA converter so that you can feed audio and video into the RCA inputs on the back of your DVD receiver. Just have to make sure that you plan on using a phone compatible with MimicsX2.

    Did I get that right??

Yes that's exactly right. Just be sure to test the mirroring quality first before you make a mimicsX2 purchase. If you are really fussy then a dedicated touchscreen is the only way to go So yes a HDMI to A/V is needed and you can pic up tiny ones for about $35.

For headunit integration all you need is to fit the mini touchscreen switcher adapter to the touchscreen, and mimicsX2 will be connected external via custom cable we will provide.

    Hi, I'm new here.

I have a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country with the OEM MyGig touchscreen dvd stereo (no navigation). Will the X2 work for me? I currently have a Sprint Evo 4G but will be upgrading to the Samsung GS3 early next year. My wife has a Nexus S android phone but will be moving to an iphone 5 soon.

I'm looking for a solution for both android and iphone. My technical experience is limited but I'm good at following directions and can probably wire it up myself with the proper instructions. Just thought I'd check to see if this would even work for my Chrysler factory touchscreen and for my multiple phones.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Im using a Pioneer AVH-4400BT in my car, connected to my Samsung Galaxy S2.
I can actually already mirror my screen into the stereo itself. I coupled like:
SGS2-->Mhl adapter --> hdmi --> hdmi to av converter --> rca cables to the video in and sound in.

But now I also wanted to be able to scrool throu my mobile and I found your magical device.
Would it work with my stereo? And how would it be connected?

If there would be another way than coupling more stuff I would be happy, ofcourse.
Since the stereo itself already has built in Parrot bluetooth for handsfree and streaming music...

    Best regards
