Ok, you have got the hardest part working and thats the video. The mimicsX2 touchscreen adapter simply connects to you headunit touchscreen and the main module can be mounted externally for easy firmware updates. You will manually need to "switch" between headunit/Phone operation though. This can be automated buy when the phone is "connected"

You can pair your phone with your headunit at the same time as the mimics and this will allow you to use the built in handsfree.

We are working really hard to ship everything out as soon as we can.. We have now got capacitive touchscreens working with our monitor kits, and we will be upgrading all new "Combo kit" orders with the capacitive and also some of the previous orders. At the moment our capacitive only works with the mimics and our monitors, so you wont be able to purchase the touchscreen on its own.

Only a new touchscreen adapter is required to enable capacitive touchscreen support, the main module will stay the same as it was designed to accept different touchscreens such as 4/5/8 wire and capacitive screens. Fitment is quite easy if fitting into a dash kit, no additional bezel or trimming will be required. Previously, fitting a touchscreen into a dash kit required some form of fabrication and even an additional double din frame. So our touchscreen will give you a seamless installation without any gaps.

How about the people who ordered just the MimicsX2 Module + Sender? When will they be sent? Can you just ship mine if I don't really mind if my module doesn't have the capacitive capability?

Mid-November has come and gone. I'm sure many people here have their system all ready to go and are just waiting on their MimicsX2 Module to start using it.

From what you've shown, this thing already works. It would be fantastic to have a perfect product, but if the ship date keeps getting pushed back and it never makes it to market it seems rather pointless to me. Not to mention someone else could beat you to it.

Well we did send something, but you couldn't get it to work. We then needed to update the hardware for ICS/JellyBean..I can assure you that everything will be received by xmas (this year)

The changes we made did not impact the hardware, we merely created a new add-on touchscreen adapter board for capacitive touchscreens.

That is true I did receive something, that I had to return. I couldn't get it to work because I had a old version of the hardware that wouldn't work...

The hardware was fine, just it had the older bootloader version that didn't match the latest android apk. We we going to resend another one with updated software but we offered an upgrade to the new model. New module is completely upgradable via MicroSDcard so you wont have this issue anymore.. I look forward to receiving some feedback from you here on the forums when you get the module
