Sorry for cross posting/email and PMing you. I didnt know which method would reach you.
I have always been a Windows Car PCer, but when Centrafuse started to get slow and eventually closed its doors, I decided to jump to Android. It is more geared to mobile use. My install was a multizone type install meaning that each seat has its own environment and all can also share a shared one. With Windows I kept hitting road blocks and gave up. With Android though, I bought 6 Android powered MK802 units. They are made to turn a HDTV to a smart TV. They all come with Android ICS. I also have a MK808 (has dual core) which I use for a shared environment.
Here is my issue. All my screens are resistive touch and the units do not recognize the touchscreens. It is also impossible to find capacitive overlays that fit my screens. None of the units have BT, but there is an option to add a BT dongle. So here is where I am messaging you.
1. Can your remote BT device work a BT dongle?
2. Do I have to use HDMI? The screens are all VGA and use a KVMP switch to toggle each seat from shared use to personal use. Those run on VGA, so I use converters that convert from HDMI to VGA than to the KVMP switches.
3. I have 7 of these Android computers, when I turn them on, will your units pair with the correct device every time? I know that each BT dongle has a mac address, does the same apply to your device?
4. Finally, one Android PC, the shared one, has all six touchscreens connected to it. How would I get that to work.... because it is shared all screens I want to be able to control it. One idea is that I can plug the BT dongle into the KVMP switches. That way when it is changed, it goes from PC to PC. I am just not sure if that one PC will allow 6 BT dongles to be connected at the same time, all connected to its own remote BT device.
Please get back to me with answers, suggestions and concerns.

Hi
Just a quick note for those who are thinking of ordering one..
I placed and payed my order 2012-04-12 and they still havnt shipped it. I'm order #072
I have had good contact with Dave all the way but I only get answeres like these (I have an entire conversation with them) and then nothing happens.
"Hi,
Sorry for the delay.. We are expecting to ship you order very soon.. We will keep you updated."
---------------------------------
"Thanks for your patience..We are sorry for the delay, we have been very bissy, we will ship your order."
Last time I was promised to recieve it before X-mas...
But I didn't.
Strange.. Who could possibly see that one coming![]()
I've been trying to get a refund since the above post was posted (14/12/2012) and still haven't got one.
Dave asked me open a dispute so he could issue me a refund, I was contacted by paypal and they told me they can't do anything due to it being over 45days since the transaction.
Dave has told me that he has received an email from paypal asking him to issue me a refund and he says he has. Even though paypal told me they can't do anything due to there 45day policy, so some one is either lying or stalling.
Has anyone's order been shipped? I have not received a tracking number. It is now 10:30am on 25/01/2013 in customGadz's timezone (GMT+11). This whole thing is vaporware.
I think the 25th is almost over in Australia. No response from direct email either.
I have found a product that appears to be very similar to the Mimics. It is made by CARTFT and is called the "smartphone uplink". Just sent their sales dept an email for details, the information on their site is not in depth but it does the same thing via the same means.
I will post more info once I get a reply from the company.
