Hi, I understand your frustration totally.. Everyone that has ordered the new MimicsX2 (Next gen X2 Module) will definitely get it. We have way to many upcoming new products and it will obviously be a shame to destroy all of that..

More people will receive tracking info next week so Im sure they will be posting their disbelief of shipping on this forum :)

I think many people hoped to get shipping details.
And i think they (as well as myself) would really appriciate it if they got a bit more details on why they there is yet another delay.. is it a technical problem? financial? to much demand?

We have been hearing the "its coming soon" for allmost a year now and most are still patiently waiting for this awesome product, it would be cool to know why we are all waiting...

It is interesting to hear that you have many new upcoming products, however it is more of a shame to destroy the confidence of your customers than to develop products nobody will want to purchase from you because of the delays. We were all under the impression you were working diligently to process and ship our purchases first, not pushing us aside to develop new products.

I havent heard back since 11/25 after 5 emails. Worst part is I needed the mimics module for my graduate program presentation and I was assured I would have it in time. I have not got it and therefore did not have it for my presentation which was pretty disappointing. I could not demo the technology I was presenting on and had to use the mimics video instead. .... Also, Dave convinced me to buy a new ver.2 lcd controller that was smaller because he had a mounting plate for that version. So another $70 + spent in preparation for this project and now we get radio silence. I really don't understand why we get little to no communication.

Now I have 2 lcd controllers, 1 lcd, an expensive dash kit, cables, ect just all sitting around waiting on this project.

I checked out CarTFT and it looks just like what mimicsX2 does, except with the hardware in the monitor. Did you get this and what info did you get from them about the product? Do you have to use their monitor or can they just provide the hardware and software. I am interested in getting this also. Would much rather get mimicsX2 for Android, but with all these threads saying no contact with the company, it makes me very skeptical on purchasing anything from them and the website homepage has no Android adk available.

customGadz: I wanted to find out some information on if your MimicsX2 + Sender (new version) is available and in stock? Also is their Android software yet?

The reply I got from them was that you have to use their monitor and that I should check the website for the product manuals for the information I was requesting. I was thinking about getting one but I want the display mounted in the custom bezel that I made. Don't know if I can modify that screen to fit even if I take it out of the case and not sure what to do with the buttons on the front of their display. I liked the idea of the Mimics better especially the promise of them developing a steering wheel control interface. No communication from Dave has me bummed. I knew about a dozen guys waiting to see my completed project and they were going to go with the Mimics as well. Damn shame...

I have been in contact with them and what do you know? They actually respond to customers! It looks to be the same concept as Mimics, but as you mentioned an all in one unit which has some positive and negatives. They have confirmed that it is a resistive touchscreen with no transflective coating. It can support multiple devices meaning you can have different drives sync with the unit and each phone must have the driver. Only one working actively at a time. They have the unit in stock and ready to ship with a 2 week return option.

I am waiting to hear back in their monitor has a reverse camera trigger- but I doubt it. The Elements transflective coated lcd I was going to use with mimics has this and I was looking forward to using it.

I am so sad that Dave and Customgadz are deciding to ignore their customers and losing business. I have $500 invested in that project and now it looks like I have to move on.
