I hope this project is not dead ( although there seems to be some hick ups) as I really want one of these units.

There are no real options out there for use Android users which is shamful and supprising especially considering how so simple the concept can be.

I am using the capactive screen from http://www.customgadz.com/store/prod...?id_product=13.

Another option is getting an AppRadio 2 or AVH-X8500BHS and us ARLiberator to connect. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYFTjMkBCpY

Thanks.... I've considered this or any other mirror link device but end of the day I just need to display the screen and out put the sounds ....

Cartft have a simple uplink product which is a nice price point but even here I think open frame would be better so I can have a reverse camera.....

Another option is a Samsung s4 using the smart dock which has USB and HDMI ports..... I just don't know how it would work with the touch screen.... it would depend on it been an official HID device....

Thanks for responding any way B-)

Getting audio out may be an issue. I am going to retain my factory radio by using this: http://www.jycustomusa.com/product_detail.php?no=86. This way using bluetooth audio I can get audio to the speakers easily and still use my steering wheel controls for volume, next, and voice dialing.

I am hoping that my kit still comes but I was tired of waiting and got the pioneer AVH-X8500BHS. It is pretty awesome with the ARLiberator app and it does everything that I would have wanted the kit to do and it's fully integrated.

That looks good.... I'm lucky in that my sat navigation and radio are separate... as for audio break out ill have to work that bit out when I have an idea of the screen etc....

Well thats good news for you assuming the tracking number shows the delivery company has the package.

As for me , it is 4+ weeks since I was promised a refund and can't get a responce back. From my perspective you did win the lottery by getting what you paid for while rest of us sit in the dark most likely never to see the product or a refund.

No respect for their customers and their word means nothing. Worst business I have ever dealt with

Was promised a refund late last week. Dave wanted me to email him again on Monday because it would make it "easier" to process my refund - bizarre, I know. I would have thought that once you get through to him he would simply send you a refund via PayPal. Multiple emails sent, no further response. Emailed again now.

Everyone who is following this thread who has either not received their goods or their refund can contact the Office of Regulatory Services in the Australian Capital Territory to lodge a complaint. Customgadz is a registered business in the ACT with Australian Business Number 50 974 625 357, possibly operating in the Weston area of Canberra. As David Mathews is operating a business in Australia, he is subject to Australian Consumer Law.

I'd say that there is a fair chance that he is in breach of the consumer guarantees afforded to us by this law. Specifically the sections forbiding businesses from making false, misleading or deceptive claims about a product or service, and the section requiring products or services to be supplied within a reasonable time.

Please note that this is in no way legal advice. It is simply some information for you to take advantage of to make a complaint to the relevant regulatory body in the country in which Customgadz is operating.
