Hmm, If you are referring to me... I originally read this thread thinking this would be a very cool addition to my vehicle and ALMOST ordered one until I got to the threads about the deceit. I have never twisted anything or tried to misrepresent anything. You say things that go 100% against what multiple people in this thread have said. All I have said is go back and re-read the thread and it conflicts with the vast majority of what Dave has said. I have made assumptions based on the information given here and have stated that those are in fact my assumptions without direct knowledge.
I am going solely off what has been said here by customers that have actually sent money in one form or another. If I had not read the thread in its entirety then I could have very well been one of the poor souls talking about how I was taken advantage of. Luckily I did not "pull the trigger" and do this. It totally amazes me that Dave continues to give information that is in direct conflict with those customers that haven't received any product or refunds and the responses given don't make sense when compared against the quotes from emails and the information given by other members.
I WAS a POTENTIAL customer... And it is in my nature to call out a scammer to prevent honest people from being taken advantage of. And as of this date from the information given by MANY users here, until proven otherwise, Dave has operated in a questionable manner that can be called nothing but deceitful and dishonest.
Problem is Dave, if you were honest from the beginning and posted status updates on your site (Which is EASY to do...) You would have never been put into a negative spotlight like this. You could have put people into a mailing list and given statuses to everyone at the same time. You should have provided honest response times on your site and not taken orders when you could not fulfill them. And once you knew you had product problems you should have told your customers the problems and given them the option of an immediate refund at any point. I would have purchased ATLEAST one and likely 2 -3 of these for some installs I am doing but I don't trust anything you touch because of the experiences shared by MANY members in this thread. Misleading your customers by telling them the product has shipped and giving a false tracking number is certainly deceitful as is telling people you have refunded their money when you haven't. These are not me twisting things around. These are examples that were given by more than one member here. If you had mentioned from day one that you were swamped with orders members would have understood.
