Calling Software Devs! I have an idea for a great frontend

I really can't understand why I haven't found something like this yet, but here's my idea:

I've just recently bought a 2008 Jeep Liberty which has a rectangular cubby hole on the top portion of the dash that is begging for a 7" tablet setup. After testing my wife's Nexus 7 on a four hour drive out of state, I've purchased an Asus Memopad for around $125 which has bluetooth and GPS for nav and sound. I also have a cheapo bluetooth dongle I got from Amazon for around $12 that works great, but all of the problems start when I look for a front end that does it all. I've tried several, and they're great in their own right, but they're not quite what I'm after.

    Wants:
Automatic bluetooth connection to the car
    automatic wifi hotspot from phone
Ability to receive texts and emails
ability to receive calls through the stereo
    Google Maps Navigation
    Music control
    Google Now integration

As much as I've looked, I can't seem to find an all-in-one solution, but I think I know how it can be done... and it doesn't seem TOO difficult. But that's coming from a guy who's programming knowledge is in the just-enough-to-be-dangerous range. It seems to me that what we need to make this two device set up work is Smart Watch style controls/connections. All music would be stored on the phone instead of the tablet. The tablet would only serve as a UI to the driver. That way the only device that needs to be connected via bluetooth is the phone, and music will pause when a call comes in or in the event of a notification.

Now, I'm not looking for someone to run right out and start coding this for me. I actually will be attempting to write this myself, but as I've stated, I only have skills to pay a fraction of the bills. I'm looking for any experienced programmers who have dabbed in the smartwatch arena, or just some suggestions. The only language I really play with is Lua using Corona SDK, which has its limitations, but I think could work out for this project.

    Any thoughts?

    Jes

I have a samsung tablet installed on my car and this is how I did it:

On the tablet I use an app to create a rule and two profiles, driving and sleep:

Rule: When the car turns on it starts to charging the tablet which activate the driving profile
When the car shutts off stops the charge on the tablet which activate the sleep profile

Driving Profile - Turn on: wifi, bluetooth, 4G, change media volume and change screen brithness
Sleeping Profile - Turns everyting off and activate airplane mode.

Using this app my battery is always above 90%.

    Now for the apps:

I don't use Google maps because it uses a lot data: I pay for the Garmin app, it was around $15.00

So tablet talk is an app that works over local wifi or bluetooth. It allows you to sync your phone to you tablet to make phone calls and receive texts on your tablet. Texting is a pretty straight forward process. Once enabled on both devices you press the menu key and choose the option to sync between devices. This copies all existing texts from the phone to the tablet. You can both create and receive new texts on the tablet.

So basically I use my tablet for everything else besides calls, which it can be transfer with th eapp above.

    my 2 cents
