I love all the hate. So funny. It doesn't move at all. It's really tight. No, it's not a perfect solution but it works. And the people who say, "oh when it snaps your ipad is going to hit the floor and explode into a thousand pieces." Get over yourself. You've obviously never held an ipad, they aren't flimsy Windows CE 1998 tablets, they are sturdy mobile devices. Plus, it would fall all of 8 inches to the carpeted floor.
I actually did stop using it after about a week. Not because you people don't think it's cool enough. I stopped using it because I don't need it up on the dash. It's far easier to just start Pandora when I get into the car, hook the aux cable in, and then lay the ipad on the passenger seat. If I was using GPS constantly I guess mounting it on the dash would be needed. But for music playback where I rarely adjust it, it doesn't. Oh, and the ipad doesn't fly off the seat and crash and explode when I stop.
Lay the ipad on the passenger seat? Are you a hypermiler and just coast, or what happens when you brake?
Beware of the death pad (tm)...
If you are just going to bungee cord it to the dash, i have a better solution

Nah, if I ever "upgrade" my mount I'll use this setup:

I see...

It's as light as a tissue box, only rubberized, so nothing to worry about then...
:bounce:
Yep with that setup I suppose you never would have to worry about a female in the passenger seat anyway...
J/K man, but honestly I was not trying to hate, when I saw the bungee attachment one thing came to mind. Resonance. The fact that the iPad is such a solid device, connected to something with elasticity, both connected to a trigger device (vehicle on bumpy road), I just saw images of a dashboard vs. iboard death match not even Sir Issac Newton could apply dynamics to.
