Thread: iPad 2 install in Silverado!

Looks incredible man. Couple questions.

1. Someone else asked as well but which actuator are you using? Any picks of how it is mounted?

2. The bezel that the ipad slides into, is that a case that you bout and painted or is it completely fabricated by you?

1. I bought 2 linear actuators a long time ago and forgot the place where I got them, but they are 1" stroke 15 lb actuators. I don't have a pic of how its mounted, but it is about 7 inches long and I mounted it to the back with L brackets.

2. I made the bezel from scratch.

Hey how do you have your ipod charging? Did you just use the usb cord from the dock connector straight to the radio, or are you charging it from a cigarette lighter? thanks.

Charging from lighter adapter that is hooked up to accessory power.

Very cool.

How are you able to charge it off a lighter adapter? What kind? And still hook it up through usb on the kenwood?
