    New features

I got to thinking today after having the mp3 car toss its operating system cookies, perhaps an option for shutdown in the next release of autoplay. It should be really simple to implement (mabey?).

Also how do you like these for errors....

starting normally--- cannot read from drive C: abort retry etc.

trying safe mode --- trouble loading driver VKD A.K.A you are now screwed

    I love my life.

    Magnetik...

Im having some problems with AP also...

It works perfectly now btw.. ( I forgot I didnt install any codec's) hehe

    anyway.. my problem..

whenever I turn off the ignition... my computer goes into hibernation, and shutsdown.... If I were to play mp3's or video with Autoplay... and it shuts down into hibernation.. then you would think the Autoplay would resume and everything would be ok, once i turn on the car again..

    well..

It starts up. .windows is ok.. in about 5 - 10 secs the windows comes out of hibernation, and everything is still running... (windows, desktopx, and AutoPlay) music is still running... from where it left off...

heres the problem.. after coming out of hibernation.. every key which Autoplay uses... (the once you set up via keyboard.exe thingy... stops working

Ill have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill Autoplay. Then reload it...

I found a way around it.. (just close the AutoPlay before turning off the car...

I just thougt you had some ideas on what the problem could be? ....

i really dont know..... hibernation can be funny at the best of times..... im guessing that AP doesnt have focus.... but it should force its own focus with the current version....

hrm.... maybe someone else can shed some light on the matter??

AP has all the focus.. even when I press AP's background.. (to refocus it) ... it still doesnt work.. all the buttons that AP uses are ... disabled? ...

    Implementation

Just got to thinking. I made a custom keypad just to use with autoplay. The only problem is that it has only 9 buttons so adding another key mapping to autoplay would really kind of screw me.

When the shut down feature is added, could it be a menu selection or mabey even the tripple * like Stine161 uses? Just adding my 2 cents.

    THanks

    Edited:

P.S. Any one want to give me a quick "how to" on how to make a win 98 box read only? I've searched and then some. still cant find anything.

Almost have all the music put back on the new re-formatted mp3 box. only about 3 hours to go....

I think a one key shutdown would be a bad idea anyway, you bump that sucker while reaching for your slurpee.... :>

Just out of curiousity, how do you guys have your playlists? One for each album, one for each genre, one for all?
