I think you have a direct draw problem. When my PC's TV card crashes I have also crappy pic like this on DDraw windows
Worked fine before, nothings changed ?
Reinstalling it didn't help ?

just my take on it it looks alot like what happens when a res change or refresh rate change occurs and the display don't like it
perhaps some strange reason autoplay is trying to switch res or refresh?

My Vid drivers decided to crap out on DX9.
They were working but then died.
Installed new drivers, problem fixed.
