what AutoTouch2 Does...
What I do is show the album art in the space you provide. I elected not to stretch it because too often that looked weird. If your art is bigger simply modify the rect for it in the skin and it'll work as you would expect. Obviously it's desireable for me to allow a stretch. I want to write this so it at least maintains aspect ratio. I'll be looking into this shortly.
I've not used Tag&Rename to do the actual embedding so I'll have to try this and check to see if I can get that data from Windows Media Player.
A few comments...First the link is correct, but the file is hosted on a different web site as you would see if you looked at it which has faster access to the web then the one which the instruction page is on. Apparently that site went down temporarliy it is now back up. I apologise for that but it's not within my control.
Secondly the person who is having the problem with the failure starting up. I apologise for that, I'm not sure why that happened, but I know exactly what the problem is, and that is that you don't have MapPoint on your machine. Simply remove the navigation page from the top of the skin file (the one where it defines the page) and it'll boot up just fine.
For the images: I currently am not scaling them, why because I just didn't code it, The image is displayed int he rect provided. So go ahead and resize that rect in the skin to 300x300 if that's how big you want it and it'll work. Otherwise I'll try and put out an update in the next few days that does a scale of the album to the size of the rect and does so in a aspect ratio keeping manner, sorry for missing that.
removed the line calling mappoint and now i get this
Failed to load skin file.
Cannot invoke property get of 'settings' at this time.

Very strange, I'd like to track this down some more. Can you give me some more details on your machine, what OS it's got installed on it, What version of the .Net Framework, which Windows Media Player version etc?
Peoples, I still haven't heard any more info from you, I'd really like to track this down....
This could be good timing. Got my monitor. Finished my dc-dc regulator. Almost finished building the computer into it's case. And you release v2 of AutoTouch :). I'm installing now!
i believe i was running wmp version 8...so ill update to 10 once i get a chance to play with it again
Nice job. One question: is the gps update controlled through application? How often is made it? It is possible to make it available as a configuration file or configure it in settings?
GPS Update is I believe as often as the reciever puts it out. One reason I can't release the GPS section at least open source is I'm using someone elses GPS Driver that I liscenced. It essentially trips an event whenever it updates. So I assume it's doing it whenever it can.
I'll double check that assumption though!
1. Doesn't handle high dpi - menus & dialogs become bigger than the screen.
2. Wmp has screwed up it's library after adding all my music to a clean machine. Now it crashes when I try and update the library. Crash is in a test OS binary I have installed so it may be due to that.
3. Music interface doesn't compare to Windows Media Center or centrafuse. The ability to search by typing a sub string could be nice though.
4. Map doesn't rotate when not navigating which stumped me until only just now.
