After 2-3 years of never shipping the Azentek Atlas, Azentek is taking a more conservative approach to launching product. They were planning on showing their single din car computer here at CES, but have decided to hold off until it becomes available for sale. Azentek also got car computing some exposure on good morning America.

It is my understanding that capacitive also technically allows multi-touch capabilities. That area has some patent landmines but maybe some hobbyist multi-touch implementations will pop up after the hardware is released.
Correct- the iPhone has a capacitive touch panel.
Capacitive is what DOESN'T respond to fingernails and such, correct? Only finger touch or object of a different temperature than the surface. Something like that,... .

so basically is this what is in the iphone/ipod touch and apple's newest touch pads?

This would be nice. Resistive touch screen are seriously a joke to keep them working good.
