Problem is this tech falls into an even smaller market then Car PC units. Plus people that have tvs in their cars (normal people), use DVDs, and iPods, and iPhones, and Zune. They don't want to have to pay a monthly or yearly fee for something that is so limited in channels. Us Car PC people have enough sense to just go with Sling Box and call it a day. Yes, a data plan costs $40.00 - $60.00 dollars, but I can have internet, youtube, etc, but best of all have Dish Network in my car with 250 + channels.
so it looks like this did not go so well. Qualcomm owns it and the tech crunch gossip is that they are looking to sell the spectrum and the brand/product.

That makes Att cruise cast, flo tv and some others we know that never made it to the commercial market.
in light of last nights Superbowl commercials, has anyone looked into this? Do they offer a tv-out capable device? I don't think I'd be interested due to the usage fees, but it's still interesting.
