Larry Liang from US GlobalSat provides an overview of the TR600. It is a vehicle tracking devices with a total of 9 i/os (3 ins, 5 outs, analog and serial). There is a built in accelerometer and GPS. The retail cost will be roughly $300 in around 3 months. Also of note, the TR600 takes12-24volts, powered by a vehicle. The parasitic load is 2mas when it is in stand by mode and when transmitting it only gets as high as 200mas. It can also be used as a stand alone device to control relays in the vehicle as well as be used to wake up more power intensive systems such as a carpc.
One service that Garmin offers as a part of their Eco Route software is a Mileage Report. This program turns your routes into an excel spreadsheet, which can be transferred to your pc and allows for easier mileage reporting for you or your employees.
