Dave Cheney, of Visteon, shows us the technology behind their Rapid development platform. With the computing power of a typical Netbook, the Rapid platform makes it easy to experiment with different radio tuners, FPGA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS modules, and SD card readers. The entire package includes an integrated amplifier and fits in a single din enclosure.

The Scosche rear seat iPad mount makes using Apple’s 9.7 inch device, in a car, easier than ever. The mount, which we found at the Consumer Electronics Show, is not yet available to the public.

The device powers itself automatically and comes in one color, black. You can also connect it to your car’s entertainment system. This enables playing iTunes music directly from the iPad for everyone in the car.
