    Garmin Mobile PC 2010 Quietly hits "The Shelves"

    Forum users over at Laptop GPS world report that Garmin has quietly released their 2010 map data set on all currently shipping product. Can anyone confirm this? Talk about this more in our dedicated Garmin Mobile PC Forum

    Community edits ignite TeleAtlas map database with 1.25 million edits

    • The validation and realignment of 116,000 kilometers (72,000 miles) of secondary roads in the United States, a complement to the existing freeway network already in the database;
    • The validation and realignment of approximately 25,000 kilometers (15,500 miles) in Germany, covering the country’s entire freeway network; and
    • The addition of more than 1,400 kilometers (870 miles) of new road geometry in Ireland and more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) in Turkey.

    They discuss the history of OLED, the challenges they face, how they work, and why they are superior to LCD.
    There are a lot of possibilities with OLED including flexible surfaces and transparent applications.

    New Intel Motherboard with SSD

    Rob Wray from mp3Car takes a closer look at Intel's D945gsejt motherboard and their SSD z-u130 2 GB module .

    The unique fact here is that they made room on motherboard to fit this 2gb module into the USB header, so you can essentially have a very fast boot up time if your OS is installed on that chip without taking up barely 2 inches of the board.
