you gonna pilot it back to canada.. which would make for a neat adventure.. or are you going to trailer it?
Hello everybody im dr nick j/k lol
After 30 years of life we are saying goodbye to our good ol princecraft 16' with and Omc engine. It is now time for a new boat, for those who live in Canada and own a boat prices arent always what they should be so my family and i are going on a trip aaaaaallll the way to Texas to get ourselves a nice deal.
All this just to ask : What kind of boats do you guys drive or have driven??
you gonna pilot it back to canada.. which would make for a neat adventure.. or are you going to trailer it?

And please watch out for hurricane damaged/salvaged boats. I hear there are thousands of them out in the neighborhood and not all sellers are honest.

That's right.. I forgot to answer your question. My brother built a twenty-something-foot boat back in the 80s.. His design included options for a sail as well as some big-*** oars, but we just bolted up the outboard and putted around on the Hudson river.Originally Posted by romul

thx for the warning that stuff didnt really cross my mind... well we're buying a ski boat 18" about .. a malibu or maybe mastercraft depending on the prices. its defenatly going to be trailered back here just with what car/truck?? hehe we'll soon find out
My parents have a 21' Sea Pro and I have a 14' Carolina Skiff J-series.
The sea pro is great with the exception of the wiring... but seriously....its a boat. what can you really expect. my dad is stepping WAY up in the 27' range. We're thinking either May-Craft 27 or Sailfish 26. But you have to remember, even with todays technology...somethings gonna break quick...its boating. lol
btw. both boats are on a lift. if you dont have a lift....PAINT THE BOTTOM or else you will greatly regret it.
its not salt water n we had the other boat in the water for years... the gellcoat was fine
I own a 2003 Crownline 202BR..but I can't even fathom putting a computer in it. We splash the heck out of it with the friends waverunners...
