I didn't get a chance to look at the actual hardware, but once they go on sale and I manage to afford one I'll open it up and find out :-D
I didn't say difficult just harder then just com.....but so nice to hear you'll be writing a Linux driver for all of us :P

When I finish testing, I'll send it over to him.

Really? That's awesome man. I'ma have to send it back so you can test RevFE'-OSX with it once I'm finished of course

No clue if OSX would be possible unfortunately, but it won't stop me from trying.

It should work with OS X. There's ftdi drivers for the Mac.

My main concern was the USB audio driver

Hmmm...have to ask Mitch but it looks to me like the audio comes out of the HD Boomzbox on a cable -probably as analog, then goes back into the USB device and gets digitized and sent to the computer.

Worst case is you could probably get the audio from the cable in analog fashion. Best case is there is an audio driver for it.

I'm also going to test it out using Fusion on the Mac. It ought to work properly under Windows.

Right now, LINUX and MAC support are VERY VERY VERY far from my mind...
and should NOT be focused on

the USB Audio, is Standard USB AUDIO CLASS, ALL OS should support it
its based on a TI PCM2900B
its then a question of MOVING the audio from capture to playback
    simple on windows of course

I Have an interface with STANDARD LINE OUT AUDIO... dont be modding this test unit

the control... is COMPORT, at least for now, in anycase it would use the ftdi.dll and linux and mac support that
    -Thanks

Mitch - now testing on VMWARE windows on the Intel Mac. Everything looks good, I can see the USB device and the com port 3 driver but the BoomboxHD software says "Communications Error" when I try to talk to it.

I think it might just be the baud rate, parity, etc. What are the right values? It was set to 9600 8N1.
