    Hello folks

I was wondering how the new BoomzBox was in picking up the ordinery FM signal. Here in Iceland we dont have much of a HD radio yet and no AM stations but a lot of FM stations. I curently have HQCT unit and I have never been happy about it mainly because it loses the signal very fast further you go away from the source. I even upgraded my carantenna to get beter signal. So any comparisons between ordinary FM unit in car, HQCT and this unit in the idea of how weak the signal can be before u cant listen anymore?

Also here in Iceland channels jump in steps of 0.1 for example 95.7, 95,8, 95.9 but I think in the US they jump in steps of 0.2 for example 95.7, 95,9, 96,1. How does this unit handle it?

    With thanks from Iceland

    Hello again

Well I think most of Europe uses 0.1 steps so this is a pretty big issue for future users in Europe.

But how about picking up weak FM signal. Here in Iceland it can be long distance between FM transmitters so how is the reciver in that issue?
Like I said in my previous post my HQCT sucks in that area but this has been the best option so far.

Hi. Ive just received my Boomzbox and it works great. I live in europe and Im having the 0.2 frequency issue. It only tunes odd frequencies. Is there any modification so it can tune in 0.1 steps ?

    Thanks!

Ive checked that the tuner chip is a TEF6721HL, witch is able to tune european frequencies. Is the "only odd frequencies feature" imposed by the box firmware ?
