right on nomader

its a product that is a HDRADIO TUNER for United States. the manaufacture designed it and programmed it for that usage, and to pass FCC rules, and mostly Ibiquity Certification

I would suggest another tuner for outside of USA, i can think of one that works good!

So there could be in close future, another version for us outside of USA?
A version that alows tuning in even freq?
Even with option of DAB?

I also think there should be a warning on the Mp3car shop site for Boomzbox, that this is a problem for those who live outside of USA.

Or is possible to ask the producers of the chip that is in use now to change the firmware so the tuner could use all freq?

sure, you could if you wanted to produce a few thousand units
and pay for the change, and all required testing
remember its a HD Radio 1st... made for that purpose

sarcasm asside, its best you look for a tuner made for your country

The problem is not the HD radio itself. US isn´t the only one using it. The problem is that that specific module was made to work with US "rules", that mean, only odd frequencies. Probably the manufactur had had more trouble "crippling" the tunner chip to work that way.
