If you use Centrafuse 2 or 3 or 3.1

I don't use CF 3.1 or Win 7, but if my experience on CF 2.1 with XP is any indication, you'll be working with this for at least a miserable week.

Advice: READ THIS THREAD AND DON'T ASSUME YOU KNOW ANYTHNG! Normal knowledge doesn't seem to apply. Come at it as if you are an old person with no windows knowledge. Just do everything that Mitchjs says, word for word. Do not improvise.

The Bad News:

It is difficult to make it work. It is twitchy and is simply a product for very advanced users. It is not a plug-n-play solution for the home PC. Not at this point in its development.

The Good News:

I've been using it daily, installed in my car for 5 weeks and once it starts working and you don't mess with it, it JUST WORKS. No problems, to issues of any kind. Turns on, turns off, and works.

So it's a mixed bag. But in the end, I have positive things to say about it. Generally.

simplepr, its due to bugs in CF

with CF3.1 and windows 7, it should be really simple..
go into advanced settings, AM/FM
select HD Radio as tuner type, BUFFERED AUDIO ON
select Recording line (HD Radio (USB Audio Codec))
on page 2, set tuning spacing to 100khz

SAVE

and then, for the heck, exit CF and restart... go to radio
1st time, it might take a little time for the radio to be found
as it learns the comport...

thats it

it just works from there

also.. hopfully, u didnt install a hdradio update for CF3.0 on CF3.1 if u didn
reinstall cf3.1

Thanks for the quick response guys, but it is working just fine now. It is actually awsome I am able to tune in some stations in my test bench using an improvised anntena go figure!

hi guys im from uk here, just took delivery of it, the stock software works fine

but CF3.1 dont work with radio....i have installed the patch thing for cf2.0 cf3.0 despite having 3.1...beacuse i was at whits end trying to get it to work and not read this thread. what do i need ot do to sort it?? i cant quite make sense of the last sentence written by "mitchjs" in his last post

also in the stock software i want to get the stations 95.8 and 100.00 but i can only get 95.7 & 95.9 , 100.1 & 99.9 , is there anyway to change the step it tunes in?? also once i get it working in centrafuse will it tune in to every 100k as opposed to 200k?

ONCE you install the UPDATED(what u call patch), the radio wont even be available as choice in CF3.1

NO UPDATE is NEEDED FOR CF3.1

repair cf3.1

and no, you cant tune even frequencies, the tuner is made for USA

Ok, I'm using CF 3.1 on XP and am experiencing the no sound issue in CF. I've changed my radiolinein setting several times and can't get any sound through. Initially the value was set to -1|-1 and I've tried - and + values of 0,1,2, and 3 with no success. Am i supposed to change just the first of the two numbers, or both? What is their relationship to each other? Also, my recording devices in the control panel are shown as USB Audio Codec, Realtek Audio, and my Andrea USB mic. In CF, I see all the various Realtek inputs and the Andrea mic. If I were to uninstall and reinstall the Andrea mic would that theoretically bump my USB Audio Codec into range so that I might select it in CF? Recommendations?

Also forgot to ask. Should I be restarting just CF or the entire system every time I make a change to this value?

just restart CF

and only 1st number has to change...

how they did it(and not very well)
the 1st number is mixer ID, the second number is line ID

to make sure everything is ok, you did test setup with the Boomzbox HD sw right?
