    MJS Gadgets MP3Car.com HD Radio (Windows 7 x64 Drivers)

    I got a message when i boot up and log in to windows.

    Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

    Do I have to disable driver signing every time I boot for this to work, or is there a signed driver available? I used the driver downloaded from your skydrive.

    I am going to uninstall the driver and delete it, then reinstall it just to make sure.

    doesnt sound like your using my drivers
    they are signed

    did u install another FTDI device, which could OVERWRITE the SHARED FTDI system files?
    a reinstall of them, would correct that.

    also use the ones on the supplied CD...
    (they are the same as skydrivve)
    or windows update...
    -Thanks

    Something must have messed up the first time when i installed them, because after I removed them and reinstalled them, the drivers worked fine.

    if you install another FTDI device make sure u use same version FTDI drivers
    if its OLDER... and possible different version
    usually its a BSOD
    but it will also break signature

    installing, my drivers last will make sure everything is up to date...

    prob good to go now...

    When I run the application Boomzbox HD - 1.3.1.2 - MP3car.com, I get a pop up window when the application powers up the radio. It also happens if i power the radio off, and then back on:

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    BTW: Thanks for the quick response. I believe the drivers got corrupted, as i was installing over wireless with a low signal.

    no audio devices in your system?
    i would check device manager, in sound devices, you should have
    a USB Audio Codec

    also unrelated, but prob wont except

    All i got to say is improper setup, I forgot to run the setup file that sets all the settings, plus i was remote logged in to the machine from the house. Soon as I logged in locally, and ran the setup file that changed the settings, all was well. I doubt you ever intended someone to run this application via a remote desktop session.

    Thanks for all the help, I love the HD interface !

    AH, yes.. i never considered that
    with remote desktop you could say leave audio at remote computer
    (its an advanced option)
    and then it would work
