Meter bar track highlight is useless and doesn't stay disabled

In the "Queued Music" page (the one that lists a meager five tracks) has this white outline for the current track (or the one you accidentally touched, or just some random one if you haven't scrolled through the 13,000 songs you own)...

    Anyways, I digress.

I have DISABLED the frequency audio meter bar thingy (or in other words, I have unchecked the configuration option to show this waste of CPU).

This sort of works. However, as soon as you press ANY track in that list, the stupid thing starts lighting up again! GRRR...

It wouldn't be so bad if it actually were real meter bars, you know that went in actual sync with the music. But since September (when I got SD/G4), I have NEVER seen this thing move to the music that was playing (yet the visualizers all work fine). Ever. Hence the reason I tried to disable it in the first place. This is simple enough to detect, because if there is a quiet passage, I would expect the meters to subside, but they just keep bouncing along randomly. Completely useless "eye-candy". In fact, I think that if you pause the music, they will still move -- I'm not in my car to test this -- nor do I really care all that much anymore about them. I just want them gone. All it's doing is wasting valuable CPU cycles on an already taxed G4.

The option is to disable using actual audio values for the spectrum analyzer. If the option is unchecked, it willl still show up, it will just use fake values.

There is no option to disable this.

Well that explains why it doesn't work. LOL.

Can you change this to a feature request then to just get rid of that meter bar all together via another checkbox?

I also suggest you re-word the existing checkbox to make it clearer.
