Thread: Alpine PXA-H701 Questions

Just read through everything....guess not....boo I still like it though. I may get it too.

Alpine can charge a lot sometimes. Look at thier various adaptors. $80 here, $160 there.

If I were you, I'd have someone put together a PC system for you if your installers can't. Or else just decide on a screen and have them fiberglass a hole the right size and then you came back and do the PC install yourself. It's just not practical to try and do it your way (from overseas).

I wish alpine comes out with a HU (with radio and cd) that can control the h701!!

lol....yeah, I know. But they're getting payed to do all this. I am just trying to get myself better deals than they'd charge for "their" stuff, lol. I have bought all the components so far myself. They are just doing the glass/paint/install of everything. That alone is going to cost around $10K

They do already or do you mean a cheaper HU?

They have a HU that can control it instead of the RUX? Maybe I can find one of those in red. Or do I NEED the actual controller?

Which head unit?

I just said that 7 hours ago. The reason the newer H701 is sold in 2 parts is because they came out with HU's that can control it.

THe DVD head units rite? THe DVA models and IVA models correct?
