for the money - IMO - there isn't anything else out there that will respond as well - digital OR analog - for the same kind of money or less

I'm hoping to switch the the H900, but need to gather the money first...lol

My suggestion is not to use the automatic calibration but measure distances from listening point and speakers and insert delays manually.
    Automatic calibration is not accurate.

    Smile

Well, I ordered the power and display interconnect cables yesterday but passed on the $50 microphone. The two cables themselves already cost $50. The cables should arrive soon and then I should be able to test out the DSP. Thanks for the help.

I'm in riverside at least two or three times a week...I'd help you, but I kinda need some help tuning it as well. I've tried adjusting the equalizer to the best of my ability and I think it sounds decent, but I'm sure that a pro could get it to sound much better...let me know if you find anyone

Look here for doing a quick tune on your system.

If your using the H700/701 make sure your x-overs and graphical EQ are set to L&R as you want to do both sides at the same time. If your using rear speakers, turn those off for tuning.

Well I took my controller apart to take a look inside. I'm going to be starting a thread on that and post some pics.

My main reason though is to change the colors of the buttons. I might buy a new controller with blue buttons and sell my current controller as a last resort or if anyone wants to swap them out with me, I'll do that.

Basically the LEDs are small surface mounts and hard to change, but when in the green mode the big buttons on the left are lit by 2 light bulbs with green sleeves over them. I could replace the sleeves with blue ones and change their color very easily. That may suffice as they are the biggest.

Has anyone else opened this and done any mods?

    Question

Got my PXA-H701 all setup (in my house) but still have a few questions:

When the Front 1 channel is activated (Front 2 deactivated) the audio through the front channels plays very quietly (almost unaudible), while when the Front 2 channel is activated (Front 1 deactivated) the front channels play normally. Anyone have any idea why?

Are DD and DTS automatically activated when a DD or DTS signal is detected on the S/PDIF? I know that if I want to use ProLogic I have to physically turn it on.

Other than trying to figure this out it seems like a really great unit so far. Right now I'm playing it through two home theatre stereo amps and home theatre speakers.
