I don't have any experiënce with the particular unit, but isn't behringer well known for getting noise into the signal? I mean, i used other stuff from behringer, and there allways would be some unwanted noise, or distortion of some sort coming up.... so is it realy that good for SQ, cause then I could skip the UCS pro I was maybe going to buy from someone at an other forum (saves me a lot of money

I have heard rumors of noise issues from other behringer products but I have not used them so I can't comment. At a $250 price point with all the features...you have to wonder about the quality of the product. Specs look good but numbers on a piece of paper don't aways make for a good product. It's a cheaper solution to all others if you have the room in your car, and maybe aren't planning on competing in car audio.

If you don't want to risk it, the DBX unit is nice. As Red said, people have been using in car audio for years as an alternative. Here is a link

Also, I have seen complaints about ground loop noise issues with the UCS so do some more research on that as well.

If Focal hadn't of come out with the Dual Monitor amplifiers, the friend of mine that used the DBX last year would probably be using it this year in conjunction with a CarPC.

Unless you are world famous and no one questions anything you say and are regarded as the "car audio guru of the gods", its hard to want to jump to that level. The politics at the Pro level are bad enough. Then again, sometimes its more fun to challenge them.

he already does, I built it for him and have been consulting him about it.

The Focal Dual monitor amps have optical ins and USB outs to allow for tuning functionality much like the 700/701 processor from Alpine.

One day we hope to compete at the expert level, but we're not in any rush to get there...

ehm, the dbx 480 is "just a little.... ahum" too expensive to me

other option is the alto mobile drive20 or drive30

wel, behringer idn't that wel built actually, but if you handle it with care, it might work I assume?
