Just an update
Rockford Fosgate has released beta versions of software to control their 3SIXTY Line of processors.
They have two lines, the 3Sixty.1 and the 3Sixty.2
Both provide a Bluetooth interface to control the tuning of the unit. before you needed a PDA to tune it, now you dont.
The 3sixty.1 can be found for under $300, the 3Sixty.2 can be found for under $400. NO OTHER HARDWARE/SOFTWARE purchase required!
Info page here, with software download
Pictures of the software running. Are below
Soundstream 3.0 from A/b Amp to Audiocontrol
JL Audio XA-CLRAIC2-3 from Audiocontrol to Silverstone EB01 USB Dac
I plan on replacing all my cabling in the future with custom made cables. Right now Im building my own usb cables because I cant find anything under 3ft thats cheap. Found 6" at 10 dollars, I need at least 3 very short usb cables so I decided to make my own on the cheap.
Already made 2, one for my usb hub(4") and one for my usb dac(8")
Next one up is for my carnetix 2140, then possibly another for whatever sound processor I get if I get one, IE the Alpine PXE-h650 if it ever gets released

Hrmm - they must have realized that limiting themselves to the Palm base was pointless.
I'd be interested to see some reviews of this piece....*goes off to hunt them down*

I'd like to not that the above post is not 100% accurate (yes, this is just a technicality...nothing major).
The post states 900, when infact the processor linked to is the 990.
The 900 is the original version of the F#1 processor. It can handle 11 channels of audio processing while the 990 can only handle 8. The 900 connects via serial while I believe hte 990 connects via USB.
Also of EXTREME importance is that the 990 REQUIRES the Alpine F#1 CD player while the 900 does not.
BTW. I also had PXA not PXI.

I have had 4 or 5 of the below, and it's really not an option (it's a closed system, which includes a head unit that controls the main processor brain (heck, it even converts the FM/AM from up front to digital to pipe it to the back)).
The only input is a clarion (and McIntosh) specific optical input that needs to see a changer to work.
No real way of connecting in a CarPC to this bad boy (heck, even an Aux in is sort of a chore, involving finding a dead changer and hacking it to make it think it has a changer connected while an AUX In signal is connected).
