    i think the person i quoted was refering to the delay circuit. sure, try the other way first and if it works, great.

    Yup, exactly. I was referring to the 'just get a delay circuit'. Obviously the cheapest way is to hook your remote wire to the ACC of the car. If you don't get a thump, then you're golden.

    thanks, as i said im an electronics noob, this relay looks the best idea.

    btw currently i am running the sub on a switched source howver whenever i run the computer into the sub i get the big thump wich i don't get from my doors. im currently just running the HU cause i don't have a monitor yet for the comp.

    Something seems a little off there.
    Most amps require .5v or less for the "on" signal.
    Check your setup.

    The thump in the sub is a common problem. The only way I know of to deal with it is to delay the amp power on signal (however you chose to do it) until after windows has done it's thing.

    No, most amps require 12v, but usually only .5A (or 500mA). I've seen plenty of threads saying the M2 doesn't put out a lot of amperage on the amp-turn on and that a relay is required to ensure it works correctly.
