    AI-Net

Ive got a PXA-H700 Processor and am planning on getting an iDA-X001 which is the new HU that you can connect your IPOD to or connect to any/most USB Mass Storage devices if you add the KCA-620M USB Adapter. My question is if anyone knows if this new iDA-X001 will supply an AI-Net output to my AI-Net capable PXA Processor? Im just trying to use a straight digital link between all of the components. Thanks for any help, that would be to sweet with a straight digital connection directly from a mass storage device. Whats cool is that if you hook the IPOD up, apparently you can listen to AAC files also.

This forum is dedicated to CarPCs and installing them in your car.

The car audio forum is dedicated to integrating your car audio system with your CarPC.

For specific questions related to car audio equipment systems that do not include CarPCs, I would recomend checking out car audio specific forums:

    http://www.elitecaraudio.com
    http://www.carsound.com
    http://www.caraudioforum.com
    http://forum.sounddomain.com
    http://www.realcaraudio.com
    http://www.carstereo.com
    http://www.caraudiomag.com
    http://www.termpro.com
    http://www.the12volt.com
    http://www.talkaudio.co.uk
    http://www.caraudiosecurity.com
    et. al.

There is a chance that someone on here might have an answer for you, I would just hate for you to wait around for it when I know you could get an answer much quicker on a dedicated forum.

    Good luck.

Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

this radio does have ainet for a changer or processor. It should also have a toslink output on it, if it does I would use that to go to the processor

Yeah, seems what I have gathered, the AI Net is only for control and analog audio. What a rip-off. Well the new Alpine iDA-X001 is pretty cool, no specs on it yet. Guy at Best Buy said it would be in tonight. Ill be up there tomorrow checking it out. The "kid" in the stereo dept. seemed to think that AI Net carries digital audio, think he's just trying to make the sale or he has no clue. Ill just be checking for a Tos-link output.
    Here it is:

Turns out my best bet is the Alpine CDA-9887 coming out soon. This would actually allow me to get rid of my PXA-H700.....maybe , if not, it will be the perfect integration with it. The iDA-X001 has no optical out. Only 3 sets of outputs.
