I know this is an old thread, but since you're back on the forums, I figured I'd answer it for you as best I could.
I don't know much about soundcards and have been searching the forums for info about the Edirol but there is not much on it.....
My question is will i notice any differences in sound between the two cards?

i got the edirol ua-1ex. it sounds ok, but i havent compared it to other soundcards.
