How do I get my amp / speakers to work?

Im installing my car PC (Epia MKII 12000 MB) and have taken out my car stereo so I can fit my Lilliput 8" and will not be putting the stereo back in the car as there will be no space for it.

Ive been told that the amp / speakers will only work if they are plugged into the back of the stereo.

Is there any way I can get the amp / speakers to run through my car PC?

You've got it backwards.
The aidio from the PC goes into the amp(s), and then the amps go to the speakers.

Now, if you are retaining your headunit (you didn't say whether you were or not), then the PC audio would go into the AUX IN on the headunit, which then goes to the amp(s), then to speakers.

Darque....

He said the "stereo" is not going back in.

You take the audio out from your MB and go to the amps. Make sure you tune your gains properly. You may also find you don't get alot of "volume" due to the low signal put out by the pc. You can up the output by using a line driver or a better (higher output) sound card.

Are you using a soundcard (usb or otherwise) or are you jsut using onboard sound?

My attention was torn between this and the Dale Jr. press conference...

But yeah. You're 100% correct. PC -> Amp -> Speakers.
Whoever told the OP that the amps woudln't work without a headunit is incorrect.

Cheers guys! Just using OB sound for now. I dont want to get too involved just yet. Once the basic system is in then Ill move up the ranks with you lot and start adding bits and peices!
