Not to be rude, but is there a question there that I'm not seeing?
This post http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/car-...al-inputs.html lists some car amps that except optical or spdif inputs but they aren't available in the US. I found a company in Germany that will ship to the US.
Autosonik AA.6900 4 channel 4 Ohm RMS 4x50W/MAX, dolby digital
1,277.75 USD + 45 shipping

Or the Hifonics ZX 5.1 4 Ohm: 2 x 350 Watt RM $833.37

Not to be rude, but is there a question there that I'm not seeing?

In all truth, a thread does not have to have a question to begin with. It can start with a statement. Regaurdless of it being a question or statement form, a thread is implied to spark a general interest that would appeal to some of those who read it. And in doing so it would invoke answers to the question provided, or the possibility to take away any information usefull to the reader.
In this case I was confused as to weather the OP's statment was an implied question on which unit to go with or if he was providing information on where to obtain those particular units. I would not have been confused if the OP mentioned his intentions of the post. And if the OP had no intentions of either, than my precious time I was wasting already by doing nothing productive at work and blindly surfing the net while I'm getting paid was being wasted.
For all I know he may be the owner of the website mentioned, where then he came across our little corner of the web and noticed the units were being referenced. The website happens to have an abundance of inventory on those particular units. So he decided to capitalize on an opportunity and do a little promotion on his website. But thats only my warped speculation, or just my excuse to waste more time.
The possibilities for you are endless.

I appreciate an informative post for once
Might want to change the thread title to 'Found another Digital...' so it's easier to find by search later on though.
50watts MAX for 1,300 USD? My god what a ripoff. If I did somehow get this amp, it would only be strong enough to run either my center channel, tweets, or rears... but not for freaken 1300 dollars..
The RMS on the amp is 50x4-front/rear, plus 50x1-center
200x1-sub. I tried to find a review on the amp but no luck. It is a nice looking amp with built in dts and prologic.
The amp breaks down to $2.88 per watt, which is kinda steep in my eyes as well, but only because I havent heard of the brand. Who knows this could be an awesome amplifier with a good sound to it. I would wait for IC-C30 to chime in he may have alot more input on this company then anyone in the states.

Hmmmm, ok.... I did some looking around, and turns out to be a brand from the manufacturer it's self.....
autosonik turns out to be a manufacturer of different brands such as akai, nakamishi,D-key, .... and apparently has it's own brand.
