NM - I did some searching here (novel idea, eh ;?) and found my answer - a qualified "yes".
I'm still thrashing ideas about replacing my CD head unit. I'm having second thoughts about a map program on the OQO vs dedicated GPS - if I go with the latter, then using the OQO just for audio would be major overkill. Here is an off-the-wall question: Can I pipe the headphone output from a generic portable MP3 player (e.g. Sansa c240) to the preamp-level inputs on a generic auto amp (e.g. Profile AP400)? If not, what kind of manipulation of voltage and/or impedence would be required to make the signal compatible? Would there likely be issues with the "granularity" of volume and other controls (meaning would it become difficult to hit a level of, say, "3" on a scale from "'1" to "10" on demand)? Thanks!
Scott
