You do realise that putting a sticker on your car like this will only attract people...right?
I have recently updated my sound system and am really worried about having it stolen as we all are. I dont have a security system right now but am planning on getting one very soon. Does anyone know where you can get some security sticker/decals to put on your car, such as viper or python specifically. I would really be interested in a big *** one to put on the rear window. Any comments would be appreciated. THanks.

I don't think real alarm companies sell their stickers without an alarm, would kind of put them out of business really.
Also , IMO, putting the stickers for the make of alarm you have on your car tells a potentional thief exactl what he is up against, so he knows just what to do to get past it. Better to buy two totally different alarms by different companies (get together with a friend on this one) and then use the stickers from the wrong alarm.
Stick in a flashing LED for now, probably not worth the hassle though, might as well get the proper alarm ASAP.
or if you really want those big sticker, you may be able to get them vinyl cut but it may not look 100% right.
This is why I left the stock "This car is equipped with an Anti-Theft device" stickers on when I installed my Viper.![]()
I dont think a flashing LED is a good idea. That just attracts attention and will probably give thieves a good reason to check out your car instead of just walking past it. A car alarm sticker might turn off the noob thief, but it would just attract attention to a professional thief. An alarm sticker on a normal car also suggests that the owner put the alarm in because the car might contain equipement worthy of being stolen. Attracting attention to your car is the last thing you want to do.
I agree with all. If someone has an aftermarket alarm thieves wonder why so it attracts them. Remember an alarm doesn't prevent theft, it is designed to slow a thief from taking the car. If you are worried about the theft of your equipment, take some precautionary measures, (I.E. bolt the sub box to the floor use high quality nuts and bolts not drywall screws) Use safety screws on all equipment mounting. Don't leave anything in plain view. Park in a garage or well lit area. Nothing will guarantee against theft, because if a thief wants it they will take it one way or another. The idea is just to make it as hard as possible for them.

I've had a system in my ride ever since I starting driving...and it's not been just a simple system mind you.
I've been broken into once. It happened while I was in high school. They came onto school property and broke into 6 vehicles at once.
I grew up in houston, went to school in college station and now live in Dallas.
It's all about where you park and to watch your surroundings.
You should never pull into a parking lot with your system bumping. You're just advertising.
Just some food for thought.

I agree with all the advice about the sticker just suggesting that i have some nice equipment but if someone sees me driving around thumping and can hear the equipment, and follows me somewhere, i would rather them be worried about the alarm then just busting on in. But the best idea is probaly just to get the alarm system as soon as possible. THank you for all the posts and good ideas.
Hey Ford, when you get your alarm let me know. I still have the stickers from mine and have been looking for someone to trade with. PM if your interested, I can send them to you whenever. Lata.
